Vilmarie Cordero

ARCH Legal PC Shareholder Vilmarie Cordero has a long history litigating employment and labor law matters, especially discrimination and wage and hour class actions. She prioritizes client service by building strong connections and remaining sensitive to her clients’ needs.

Born and raised in a small rural town in Puerto Rico, Vilmarie’s interest in advocating for justice dates to her time at the University of Puerto Rico Law School. While earning her law degree, she worked full-time for a litigation law firm in San Juan, Puerto Rico and served for one year as a student attorney in the Environmental Law Clinic, representing indigent clients and poor communities in cases seeking environmental justice.

Her interest in civil rights litigation brought her to New York City, where she worked for two years representing low-income Latinos in employment discrimination cases, including discrimination based on sex, race, color, and national origin.

Vilmarie attended the University of San Diego School of Law, receiving her Master of Law in Employment and Labor Law. While in law school, she joined ARCH Legal PC’s predecessor firm, GrahamHollis, as a student attorney and worked on several wage and hour class action cases. Now, she pays it forward and enjoys mentoring newer associates and leading the firm’s law clerk internship program.

In her time away from the office, Vilmarie likes reading detective novels, crafting macrame art and decor, walking her dogs, and outdoor activities such as running, cycling, hiking, and snowboarding.
